Comedian - Mike Blackson

Notoriously known for his high-energy stage show and snappy style of comedy, Comedian Mike Blackson has been ripping up Arenas and Colleges/ Universities all across the country with his quick wit and unpredictable physical comedy since 1992. If his African accent pitched voice does not grab you then his sniper type comedy act is sure to catch everyone's attention. Considered one of the most original foreign comics in the United States, Michael K. Blackson, the AFRICAN KING OF COMEDY, hails from West Africa and was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Michael opted not to do college, but instead pursue his career in stand-up comedy and since then has become one of the most outstanding and original comedians nation - wide.

The African king has appeared on television shows like BET's "COMIC VIEW" & "LIVE FROM LA WITH MICHAEL COLYAR", HBO "DEF COMEDY JAM & SNAPS", UPN's "UPTOWN COMEDY HOUR", "Please Don't Mind" music video by Philly's Most Wanted, and the Motion Pictures "LEAN ON ME", and "NEXT FRIDAY", starring Ice Cube and Mike Epps, released January 2000. Michael Blackson has also been a headlining comedian on the RJE Comedy Cabaret Tour, WWW.COMEDIANDEPOT.COM , which is the largest and longest running college/ university based comedy tour in the nation.

Through hard work and dedication, Michael has won various comedy competitions/ festivals throughout the country such as the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition, NYC Urban Comedy Festival, Laffapolooza, Schlitz Malt Liquor Comedy Tour, USA Comedy Central Tour, and the Coors Light Talent Show comedy competition.
